Niykee, who has had a whirlwind few years including being selected by Snoop to perform with him at the YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee keeps a steady songwriting schedule despite all this. As a producer magnet, Niykee is constantly looking through the many beats that are sent to her. The majority are a source of new songs. "I'll be able to discern within 5 minutes if this is a quality beat. When I've got a tune in my mind, I will start writing right away." When I am playing my guitar on my front porch the words begin to flow. A majority often, I'm completed in just thirty minutes. Niykee continues to develop her talents as a writer and lyrics writer. She explains how her experiences of suffering in the past is a constant sources of motivation. It's tough to forget the painful memories from my early years, particularly the loss of my sister. These memories are included in her songs. It shapes my songs and builds this deeper understanding behind all things that's one the most important things for me. I want to be able to say that I could listen to any one of my music 20 years from now and still be happy with what I wrote.
